Followed by optional glowworm survey at on Bulford Mill Lane, Cressing (CM77 8NT or TL777202). Weds 21stJuly 6.30 for 7.00pm Tiptree Heath. Meet at 18:30 at Stovern's Hall Farm to car share or at 19:00 at the Heath car park. Weds 28thJuly 7.00pm Pond dipping in Wilson's Pond, Stovern's Hall Farm; a dedicated evening rather than the usual "light touch". Followed by optional glowworm survey at Bulford Mill Lane (TL777202). Meet in the parking area at the bottom of the track to the Wood (TL824171). Weds 1stSeptember 7.00pm Late summer plant and invertebrate surveying at Silver End Pits. Meet in Western Arms car park (CM8 3SD or TL813193). We may visit the pub afterwards. Friday 10th September 7.30pm James Abbott has kindly agreed to lead another outdoor astronomy evening at the sugarbeet stand. We will observe from a point along the track towards Rivenhall Thicks. There will be plenty of objects to view and James will have a 4" refracting telescope for us to look through. It's worth bringing binoculars too, or even your own telescope if you have one. All are welcome so spread the word.
