Wednesday 30th April 19.30 Spring flowers in Thrift Wood, Woodham Walter. Limited road verge parking on approaches to the road junction by the entrance to The Warren golf club (TL804060). Yellow Archangel Wednesday 7thMay 19.15 for 19.30 Birdwatching at Tiptree Heath with John Thorogood. Meet at 19:15 at Stovern's Hall Farm (TL825172) to car share or at the heath car park (TL879146) at 19:30. Bring binoculars and maybe torches to check the ponds for newts. £2 donation. New Born CalfWednesday 18thJune 19.30 Wildflower Count. Meet at Hole Farm, off Cressing Road (under the small railway bridge - TL803187). Bring plant ID guides. Saturday 21stJune 9.00 Cavenham Heath, Cambridgeshire, with Nigel Cooper. We are mustering at Stovern's Hall Farm at 09:00am to car share over to Cavenham Heath, where we will meet Nigel at 10:30am. Please bring a packed lunch. In the afternoon we will be travelling on to Devil's Dyke. After that we are invited back to the Coopers' for tea and cake, or something similar. If you're planning on coming I'd appreciate you letting me know in advance, so that we have some idea of numbers. You will obviously need to be dressed and equipped for a day in the outdoors, with binoculars, hand lens and botanical ID books useful.
